... I'm trying to control with klonipan but doesn't help much. I'm scared of the side effects of the 2 new drugs for treatment. Any input would be appreciated!
I’m also dealing with TD. Currently I’m taking 80 mg of Ingrezza. I had tried Ingrezza several times before I stuck with it long enough to see some improvement without side effects. The major side effect for me was an inability to sit still. It went away after a couple of weeks. I still experience some TD symptoms, but it’s better than it had been.
Let me know if you have any questions about Ingrezza.
I've had TD for about 3 years now. I use Valium and Flexeril and Melatonin. I haven't tried Ingrezza because I have heart problems. I don't know anything about the new one that just came out. If there is any information out there I would like to hear about it.
Hi I have had full body Tardive Dyskinesia since 2010 I started using Austedo in December of 2017. I started on a dose of 6 mg twice a day. Over a period of a few weeks the Austedo was increased to 12mg twice a day at this dosage all movements had stopped also I had no side affects either. When the Austedo s approved to be sold in your local drugstore my insurance company would not approve to pay for it. After trying Klonopin and Amtadine for weeks and either severe side affects or the medication not working my insurance company will now pay for the Austedo in 6mg twice a day, it does not stop all the movements like being on the 12mg twice a day did but it does make a big difference in how bad the movements are, they do get worse as the medicine starts to wear off but at least I can have some good quality of life in the in between. I don’t think my insurance company will ever pay for the higher dose but am glad to at least have something that helps.
Also after being off of the Austedo for about 2 1/2 months when I was able to restart it I still did not experience an side affects. I hope this can help anyone that has questions about the medicine Austedo.
