I'm afraid of break through pain. How does the IR version work? How do you take it when on the ER version? A couple reviews said they take both for pain relief.
Candle when you are on the ER DOSE include that in the total daily dose of 24 hours do not go over a total dose of 500mg a day unless the doctor has said different this includes the ER AND ALSO The IR tablets or liquid and if after you have taken the er dose after one hour if you still have break thru pain you can take one of the IR pills then one every 4 to 6 hours as needed for break through pain keep track of the mg of the ER and what you take in the IR so that you don't take more than a total daily dose of 500mg total adding both types or what the doctor has told you if you still do not understand please call your Pharmacist where these were filled or contact your doctor.have a good day. and Merry Christmas
8 take both versions and it works great for me. 100mg 2x/day of the extended release, and 50mg 2x/day of the immediate relase as needed for breakthrough pain. The immediate release version starts working in under 30 minutes if taken on an empty stomach. Food slows down absorption a bit.
