Ok, I am a woman whichis pretty strange for this drug, but I have been prescribed it as I have a kidney stone. I am worried about taking it as my blood pressure is very low anyway and apparently this drug lowers it even more Is this dangerous, Need to get rid of this kidney stone though as it is extremely painful. Should I take the drug or not
I must confess I had never heard of this so I went on a search, starting with how it works in the body, then I found websites that explains it for kidney stones. It relaxes the muscles in your urinary tract, therefore, hopefully, decreases the pain of passing a stone and making it a little easier. I would say it has some great benefits having passed a stone all on my own. Just remember to drink alot of fluids to help it along too. I drank so much I thought I'd float away. I passed it in about 12 hrs that way. As far as the low blood pressure, its orthostatic, that means if you change position or get up rapidly it will drop for a short time. Its not a constant low pressure.
