Is Tamsulosin more effective for sleeping through the night if taken in the evening?
This medication is not for sleep:
Tamsulosin, sold under the trade name Flomax, is a medication used to treat symptomatic benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), help with the passage of kidney stones, and for urinary retention along with other measures.
Tamsulosin, and other medications in the class called alpha blockers, work by relaxing bladder neck muscles and muscle fibers in the prostate itself and make it easier to urinate. It is an α1a adrenergic receptor antagonist.
Some tamsulosin side effects may not need any medical attention. As your body gets used to the medicine these side effects may disappear. Your health care professional may be able to help you prevent or reduce these side effects, but do check with them if any of the following side effects continue, or if you are concerned about them
