I was also recommended to take 1 teaspoonful of sodium bicarbonate dissolved in water to help with absorption of Tarceva - is this a good idea or of no value?
Who recommended these things? I would talk to my pharmacist about anything to do with the med. I went through the prescribing info and no where does it say to add lemon to your diet, but it does say not to use antacids (sodium bicarb is an antacid) You should be taking it on an empty stomach either 1 hr before a meal or 2 hrs after one.
