Hi, kt! Do you mean instead of Seroquel or something to take with it? There are other antipsychotics you could try instead, but Seroquel is kind of the *gold standard*. Sometimes doctors prescribe a mood stabilizer (lithium, Depakote, Lamictal, etc.) to take with or instead of a antipsychotic.
I've had super results with Seroquel, but I had to work up to a fairly high dosage. I'm no longer taking any other meds with it.
Is Seroquel not working for you? Having side effects?
You should always be sure your doctor knows how you're doing. Sometimes
just a dosage adjustment will do the trick.
