I dont trust those tests my doctor said i wasnt taking my medicine that it didnt show up and i was.I do not believe those urine tests are accurate.Ask for another test.I had the exact same thing happen (wrong results)and he refused to give me my pain meds so i went back to my old doctor.I believe that something needs to be done about this. The only reason i switched doctors in the 1st place was it was hard to walk from the parking garage to my doctors office. It really upset me bad.I had heard of others having the same problems. There should be someone this should be reported to.
Hey painfree,
I agree with indylady, I have also heard this is a common thing to happen with lab testing and the like, sometimes they mess up.
That is not good enough for the person involved, you need your meds, did that same doc prescribe you the roxys and xanax? I'm not aware of roxys and what you can and cant take with them, but all the same if you're in pain, you need your painkillers.
I would get back to your doc about your pain, its not good enough that you have to wait for the tests to come back, the lab messed up the first time, why should you have to suffer because of that??
I understand that the doc is probably trying to cover his own back, but all the same you go back and tell him you are in pain and need yor script filled.
I hate the way docs think they know it all, anyone that does'nt go through pain, has'nt a clue what its like daily for someone that does!
Ok everyone assumes the test is wrong but I see that you write that you made a dumb choice. Did you take Meth or was it a mistake by the lab? If you did do the meth and the Dr gets a confirmation from the lab that it is indeed positive then you will probably be dropped by this Dr. Withdrawals are uncomfortable but they wont kill you. You may feel like you are gonna die but really you will eventually get through them. You do have a couple of choices here. You can see if this Dr is willing to give you another chance if you promise to come in for frequent tests and promise that you will never take anything not prescribed-admit you screwed up but wont do so again. If he refuses to take you back on you will have to start at square one with a new Dr. or you might look into detox with Subs or something similar. If you did not do the Meth then the confirmation test should catch that it was a false positive and you should have no worries.
