The dr should have ordered it in a tapering dose. Unless of course he wants to keep you on it until he sees you again.
I agree. Only the doctor should have you taper. Two days at ten isn't enough to do much of anything considering your condition. Short bursts of this medication won't harm you long term. Stick with the treatment. The doctor is seeing what effect this drug has in your body. It takes time.
When I've had to take it, my lung specialist put me on 50 mg daily for five days without any tapering.
