it seems the lortab has completley stopped working for breakthrough, i have tried taking 2 still no relief and feel too medicated any suggestions?
I think you are going to have to run this one by your Dr. It sounds like you might need a change in breakthrough meds or maybe you need something non-opioid added to enhance the pain relief you are now getting. Dont escalate your dose without talking to your Dr and getting his permission. Doing so will short you later and if you have signed a pain contract, it can get you booted from your pain Drs care.
I agree with Dzoo on her answer to you. You didn't give any info about what or where your pain is or about. Could you possibly need to have surgery? We don't haver a clue as to why you take so much pain med already without relief. Sometimes chrontic pain sufferers will build up a tolerance to the dose they are on, but you are getting up there in dosage. Talk to your pain management doctor about this, & let us know more about where your pain is or what's causing it... Mary
