... increased my dosage from 50 mg to 75 mg per day, as I'm having new pain issues. The doctor wants me to call him in 2 weeks to let him know how I'm feeling. I haven't noticed a difference in my pain yet. How long will it take for me to notice? Could it take longer than 2 weeks? Thanks for your help
This is an off-label use for nortriptyline that I'm not familiar with. Your Dr. obviously expects the possibility that you will be feeling better in 2 weeks. Since you're simply increasing a dose of a drug you've already been taking consistently, feeling the benefits of the increase can be fairly quick. It could take less or more than 2 weeks, as how it works in your body is uniquely different than in anyone else's.
