... wear off?
Hi! Ive been on Lyrica for about 2 maybe 3 months, also take other meds for epilepsy, insomnia, anxiety/depression..I know the feeling your talking about, I take it 2x a day and it has gotten somewhat better I feel like. I feel like its not as bad as long as I take it with food or on a full tummy. Dont know if you've tried that yet, if not might help some. Its has gotten a bit better but hopefully it will let up for you soon!! Good luck to you!!
Hello Sherry3000, I have been on Lyrica for many yrs. Unfortunately, pregabalin (Lyrica) does produce brain fog & a high feeling. Guess, I'm used to it, being that I've been on it for so long. (10yrs.) My Rheumatologist informed me that is common! He just upped my dose from 100mg to 150mg. a day! Give it some time for your body to adjust, being that you have only been on it for such a short time!
Take care & hope that you will feel better!
Hi Sherry3000. When I started taking Lyrica I had many horrible side effects. Some people told me that they would go away after my body got used to it. Well I took it for 7-8 years and I kept getting worse. I was weak, dizzy, confused and forgetful. I was taking Lyrica for chronic nerve pain but it caused me to have anxiety, depression and suicidal thoughts. I started gaining weight and I ended up gaining over 80 pounds. I ended up tapering off slowly last year (2017). I’m tapering off Cymbalta now and it is as hard on me as Lyrica was. I will be completely off Cymbalta soon and I will never take another medication like these again. They changed who I was; for the worst. I was always healthy and a small woman before Lyrica and Cymbalta; even after having 5 children but these drugs ruined it all for me.
I can’t wait to take the last capsule with the one last bead in it and work at getting ‘me’ back again. After my experience with Lyrica and Cymbalta I can never advise anyone to take either one of them. Please research all you can and take care of yourself. I wish you the best. Cindy
