Lortabs consist of the active ingredients: hydrocodone and acetaminophen. You may wish to discuss a slightly stronger pain medication such as Percocet. I take 8mg Dilaudid. They may be a kittle to string for your pain but they due make them in 2mg 4mg tablets too. There is also some long acting morphine sulfate in smaller doses like 15mg & 30mg in extended release & immediate realease. Try talking to your doc about some of those. Good luck
