Ive been taking endocet 10/325 for 4 years now three to four times a day! for lower back pain?,spinal stinosis, scoliosis, and now have sciatic and 12 bulging dics in my cervical and thoracic spine! And I'm taking Baclovin for spasms! But that just raises my blood auger and causes headaches! Help any one know of a better medications going to my doctor to day!, please help... thank you
While I agree there are better pain meds then endocet for chronic pain, neither of these meds causes your blood sugar to rise. You may want to see an endocrinologist for control of your blood sugar, something else is going on there. You might ask your doc about extended release meds.
Baclofen does not raise blood sugar levels. Please read the following link...
In a panic...
I agree with kaismama, ask your doctor for an extended release medication and make sure you let your doctor know the side effects your current meds are causing. I'm currently taking two different short acting pain meds, 30 mg oxycodone and 4 mg dilaudid, and have recently learned that I'd probably have better pain relief if I had a longer acting med and a short acting one for breakthrough pain. Hope your appointment goes well and you start to feel better soon.
Dear, in a panic. It sounds like we have some similar situation's with our back's. I had a hard time getting help with medicine that would help me with the pain. Be firm with you're doctor, and somehow let him know you're in pain. I hope you get releif soon. In my thoughts, bumblebees90.
