I've been on the anti depressants for 2 years! Seeing a counselor for PTSD following a beating 6 months ago. Been diagnosed as co dependent going back to childhood issues.

Added 15 Jul 2013:
I have panic attacks & have meds for those. Also have insomnia with meds foe that but tend to sleep at "the Wong times". It frustrates friend & what family I have.
Hi hun, welcome to the site. I'm sorry to hear that you are feeling so low right now. How long have you been taking the depression medication? Have you suffered from depression for a while now, or is this new to you? It is difficult to know what to say, as there isn't much information in your question... If you think 'talking' will help, we can write privately to one another. Has anything happened recently to make you feel this way? I also suffer from depression, and agoraphobia, so i know where you are coming from. It helps if you have family &/or friends who are there for you, and a good doctor & therapist who you trust and can confide in. Write back with more information about what is going on right now?
Hi Kathy; Also welcome! Antidepressants take awhile to start working..
Please give it some time and let your Dr. know how you are feeling... And
stay on this site, and give us some more info. Like what meds are you
taking and do you have phsical ailments, too. Hang in there! ~~dd~~
I think a certain amount of that is normal when depressed. You are stuck right now, but with the help of medication (and counseling?) you will be yourself again very soon. Be patient, but after about four weeks you should see an improvement.
My heart truly goes out to you,
p.s. this too shall pass, I promise.
Dear Kathj62 - Oh hun, I can so relate. I have 11 diagnosis, from Crohns for 28+yrs, CAD with 2 heart ttackts, double by by pass surgery where I coded twice, Fibro, and others I am so depressed sometimes literally weeks go by without leaving the house, even to check mail at the end of drive way. When I have absolutely no choice, it takes me days to get "prepared". I get so overwhelmed at minor things. I plan everything ahead, included bathing, etc, so when the time comes, all I have to do is get dressed and walk out the door. More than that and it is too much. I know this is not a solution to you, but wanted you to know you are not alone. There are some very kind, caring smart people on this site. Listen to their advice, they have helped me a lot. I am adding you as a friend, hope you will do the same. Would like to get to know you. Maybe we can compare notes. Good luvk, be well as can be...
