I was diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis when I was 16 years old. I am 47 now. My spine and ribs are almost completely fused. Waited a long time to ask and was finely put on Oxycontin and Norco about 12 years ago. It has given me back my life. It has worked beautifully for pain with out issue. I Take it just as prescribed and pee in a cup when asked. All of a sudden my doctor is flipping out and taking all her patients off Opioids. My choice was to taper down to nothing or go to this pain clinic where all they prescribe is Buprenorphine/Naloxone. So, tapering to nothing is not an option as i will be bed ridden. So i went in to the hospital and made the switch. I am not real happy about this. So now what do i do for pain when having the 6 teeth pulled that need done, and my hip redone? If it blocks the other opioids, what do i do? And is there a version of this that controls the pain with out blocking other opioids?
