I have recently been prescribed 100 mg of zoloft, 150 mg of wellburin sr 2x a day and Ativan. Is this a normal combination for depression?
Yes, this is an acceptable combination for depression and anxiety. The Zoloft and Wellbutrin will help with depression and anxiety while the Ativan is for anxiety. Once you are use to the Zoloft and Wellbutrin which can take upwards of a month or so you hopefully won't need the Ativan. If you take the Ativan regularly for a length of time, you can not just stop abruptly. You must slowly taper off or you run the risk of withdrawals. I hope the doctor slowly increased the antidepressants and not just started at the dosages you mention. Side effects can last several weeks as you are adjusting to these meds.
