Is anyone taking xanax for anxiety. My neuro suggested it and it is helping with coping with MS.
Alprazolam is very effective in treating anxiety for some people. I rarely have to take it anymore, but when necessary I take as little as I can get by with. It can become addictive so do not take more than prescribed and remember when and if you decide to discontinue use, you must taper off, not stop abruptly.
Best of luck.
As Laurie says it can be a very effective medication it is part of the Benzodiazepine drug class, as long as you take it only as you need it it is a drug that does work, I had a good friend that did not make the choice to do that and he had a difficult time because his body became tolerant to it. As long as you follow your doctors instructions then thats the way to go, Be sure he is also aware of your other prescribed medications, just want you to be safe and have a good outcome, Keep us posted
