I had my thyroid removed 2 months ago and started my thyroid medicine 11 days ago and I am so tired since I started it. I could sleep all day. When did you notice changes once you start thyroid meds?
Shell107; I well paste what i copied for you to read, Now remember it is very importaint that when ever you see a doctor that you let them know that you are on thyroid medication. So they make sure they check for any Interactions and also this is a good reason to stay at the same pharmacy the pharmacist knows more about medications then most doctors and they well look for interactions anytime you fill a prescription. Also anytime if you take a over the counter medication clear it with the pharmacist. So what you are feeling is normal at this point. here is the drug info.(((Take Levothyroxine sodium in the morning on an empty stomach, at least one-half hour before eating any food.•It may take several weeks before you notice an improvement in your symptoms. That answer should help you until you get a blood test later to check your thyroid level.
You should take synthroid not genetic because the amounts of synthroid are not stable. Within 6 weeks you should feel the levels getting better. If you don't feel well the endocrinologist should checked your blood work again to adjust your level of synthroid. It took me a year to finally feel great again. It is a long process so try not to feel discouraged. It will cone.
