i am confused. Is what Im taking generic for synthroid?I am a 59 year and also take 100mg gabapentin caps.my thyroid levels were low according to my bloodwork.Is it okay to take both these meds? The health dept. is who put me on both meds. I have no insurance therefor i cant afford a family dr. or a specialist.Thank you for any information. Jackie

I have better results on synthroid, levoxyl. The brand. Generics vary in dose and for this med I have to be accurate. If cost is a factor then the generic will be ok. My recommendation is the brand for exact dosing. My endocrinologist agrees. I have used the generic and did experience a difference and more frequent adjustments. Karen
