I was diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder and I am really confused about exactly what the symptoms are that are associated with this disorder. Any information would be very helpful to help me better understand my diagnosis.
Hello charlotte's girl. You'll be having moods that might be considered to be manic, extremely happy, giddy, full of energy and then depressed, very sad, low and that will be accompanied with the illness itself Schizophrenia such as hearing voices, having conversations with oneself. Very best of wishes to you, pledge
Hi charlotte's girl. Schizoaffective disorder is an uninterrupted period of illness" where there is Major Depressive, Manic, or Mixed Episode concurrent with symptoms that are met for schizophrenia. During the same period of illness there have been delusions or hallucinations. "Period of illness" is referring to a time period where the person continues to display active or residual symptoms of psychosis. This disorder is often misdiagnosed for a Mood Disorder with psychotic features or Schizophrenia.
