My left labia majora is swollen. The fluid build up gives it the resemblance of a bartholin's cyst, but there is no cyst there. I know this because i have had a bartholin's cyst before that had to be drained. The gynaecologists i saw also confirmed that its not a bartholin's cyst, they were unable to diagnose it. I have no other symptoms other than the discomfort while walking or sitting up right. I have been trying sitz baths and it doesn't reduce the size. The size gets bigger after intercourse. Any idea of what it could be?
I honestly don't, but I have a suggestion. Since you've tried warmth, I'd try cold. You have swelling and it's been over 48 hrs., so try wrapping ice cubes and placing them *carefully* where you're swollen. Do this with a few minutes on and a few off according to your comfort. If you have a cold pack that doesn't get extremely cold like ice cubes, even better. It's worth a few tries for a couple of days. Best of luck to you.
