Hi has any one been on citalopram for anxiety and then been give fluoxetine I'm a bit nervous of switching pills and no idea what to expect with side effects as I don't want to read the leaflet as I will just focus on the real bad side effect as I can'thelp that and just want to do are these any good and work do they lift your mood as well thanks btw I switched cause the other seemed to stop working and been in them for few months but still have bad side effect with bad head pains
hhh27; yes and the fluoxetine should take care of the problems,Celexa for some it's hard to get through the side effects None of us like to change medications and go through the first few weeks but you should do just fine. Hi, i actually did it the other way round, i first took Fluoxetine and then later started on Citalopram. Have you or your doctor considered a dose increase may help? The sister medication to Citalopram (Escitalopram/Lexapro) is actually said to be more suitable for treating anxiety, where as Citalopram is more suitable for treating depression... maybe something to discuss with your GP? Or another option, you could take an add on medication alongside the Citalopram, such as (Pragabalin/Lyrica), which treats anxiety...
