I also take 10 ml oxycodene 4 X a day. I am in so mich pain now any suggestions??
I psi always; Between these damn Insurance companies and the Dea they are going to drive us nuts with these opiates, YOU HAVE GIVEN ME A CHALLENGE HERE. YOU HAVE PUT DOWN NEXT TO THE MEDICATIONS. Ml Which is normally a liquid as in one ml or 1 cc twice daily
Also on the oxycodone 4 times daily says 10 ml. again liquid but no way would you be taking 10 ml 4 x a day. so I have to guess that you are talking Milligrams which is MG and SAME with the Oxycontin and Kadian ml must mean milligram which is mg and both of those are timed release. Anyway, these are too strong to guess what you are talking about.
How long ago did this change take effect for you? WHAT IM GOING TO DO IS ASSUME YOU ARE TELLING ME THESE ARE MILLIGRAM. BUT when they change these after a period of time being on them it can take a day or two to somewhat adjust from the OxyContin 30mg to now taking the Kadian 40mg the difference is Kadian is Morphine which is in the same family as OxyContin and are both Opiates your doctor has figured it out correctly or as close as you can where the Kadian ext release twice daily is going to be about the same as the Oxycontin dose. And your Oxycodone plain is 4 times daily as needed Anyway this should be so close to what you were on it really should work. IF you have been on it for a few days otherwise take it all encluding the medication to the doctor's office and let them know this is not working.and you are in more pain. It seems that your Insurance is the one causing the problem here refusing to pay for OxyCotin IS IT 30MG 2 things the doctor could do is raise the Kadian a little. Or there is a form called a prior authorization that the office can call your Insurance company and try to get the OxyCotin COVERED AGAIN FOR YOU. THIS WOULD BE WORTH A TRY BUT IN THE MEAN TIME ALL I CAN SEE IS IF THE DOCTOR WELL INCREASE THE Kadian a little it is up to the doctor and that you are still within the dose they want the doctors to stay within. Give them a call in the morning and don't take any extra in the mean time more does not mean stronger. hope this well help some But please if you have to write back make sure you give me the milligram on the bottle that is MG NOT ML WHICH WOULD BE A LIQUID, or let me know but this is the best I can do with the info you have given me. Pain messes with you so if you do need more help please let or give me exactly what is written on the labels. AND ALSO PSI YOU CAN CALL YOUR PHARMACIST AND HAVE HIM OR HER COMPAIR THE TWO AND THEY WELL HAVE THE RIGHT DOSES TO TRY AND FIGURE OUT BECAUSE IT IS NOT WHAT YOU TYPED. FEEL FREE TO LET ME KNOW HOW THIS WORKS OUT. GOOD LUCK. AND REMEMBER sometimes the doctor or nurse can call or fill out a form they well know what it is to try and get you back to the OxyContin but these insurance companies think they are god nowadays. so you could call the doctor in the morning and try to get in and don't forget to take all your bottles of pills. or he or she may do nothing for you.
