Dear Justin, this is perfect example of how people react differently to drugs. Of course there are many factors, ie: other medications you are taking and for what, plus many more I am sure. I took Klonopin years ago and had to stop because I was a zombie. I am now on Xanax, 1mg, up to 5 times a day, and the only thing I feel is less anxious. Even I think this dose of Xanax is a little much and because it doesn't do much for pain (my main proplem) I hardly ever take the 5th pill. But since I am overwhelmed with the medical problems I have, its nice to have something to help you relax. What you taking the Klonopin for??
I've never taken Klonopin; however, I have been taking Xanax for a few years now due to anxiety I get over chronic hives that I've had for over four years. I get so very anxious trying to figure out what is causing my hives that I cannot relax. I have never before suffered from anxiety in my life! I'm allowed to take .5 mg of Xanax four times per day, but I usually don't take that much. Occasionally if I wake up at three or four in the morning, I'll take one or two Xanax to help me go back to sleep. I don't feel the Xanax at all, but one time I ran out of my prescription and I was so nervous, jittery and anxious it was absolutely horrible!!! I swore I would never allow myself to run out of Xanax again! As for the Klonopin, I had a friend who took it and when I would talk to her on the phone I could tell she was on it because she would be slurring her words and was very sleepy.
I hope this helps!
