I switched my birth control to one on my insurance and I figured it would still have the same affect as the old one in preventing pregnancy. I just got my period today but yesterday morning and this morning I threw up. I haven't had sex in about 10 days and my period was a week late. Could I be pregnant?
If you were taking the pill properly, using back up as appropriate and had no gaps between finishing the former type and starting the new type of pill, then you should have been protected against pregnancy. It is most likely just your body adjusting to the new hormones. Most birth control pills are similar but there are different mixes and strengths. Since you did get your period, it is most likely that you are fine.
