The swelling is slightly painfull. The dr prescribed amoxil 500mg x3 time per day for 5days. But he did not tell me what it is.
Kantu; iF You really want to know the doctor is the one to ask. But since they don't just hand out Antibiotics you could have scrached it and caused a slight infection which the amoxil in that dose should take care of it Good you went in without the antibiotic it would of just gotten more infected.Try not to touch it other than to see if it is going down... But the dr has you on a good antibiotic and a good enough dose it should take care of it..Other than that its not something can guess on.lots of things cause ear infections..if you left the office with a paper saying what he did the name of it might be there but other than that if you really want to know you could call the office and ask the Nurse or Doctor and ask if you have to come back to have it checked good luck im sure it well all be okay..Chuck1957
