Need a second opinion. Had surgery in April.
worse now than before surgery. Best way to find a surgeon
in your area?
In my opinion, ask every body you know, even casual friends, people at church, school, work, family members, neighbors, etc. You can always look in the phone book and blindly call, but, you really have no idea what you are getting. Word of mouth is the best advertising a doctor can get. Good luck!!
I don't no what your situation is, but if you have health insurance u can look on the back of the card and call there customer service number and they will be more then happy to supply u with a list of orthopedic in your area or somewhere easy for u to get to that excepts your ins..good luck..and hoping u feel better soon..
Look for orthopedic surgeons in your insurance carrier's plan. Decide how far do you want to travel to see this doctor. Most importantly, check the doctor's credentials. For example: Is he/she board certified by the state? When you choose a doctor that sounds pleasing to you, ask if their office is accepting new patients. If they say yes, make an appointment. If the answer is no, then there's no need to pay a consultation fee to a doctor who isn't accepting new patients.
Hope this helps.
