I have a client who started her lawsuit in Oklahoma City, OK suing the Reglan manufacturer for her developing T.D. I've heard that the Supreme Court has ordered those who took the name brand will be compensated. However, the jury is still out on the generic form.
That's crazy since its the same medication. I did find one lawsuit that was filed for someone on metoclopramide. That's all I could find. It disturbs me that people are suing for this since it was made evident as early as the 1980's that this drug caused TD, and should be used only short term. This by the manufacturer. I would think the dr who prescribed it basically off label would be the one to go after, he should have known this.
