& I have been accepted for an ablation procedure on June 15. I will post how it goes after the procedure. I may get my life back. Thanks for your sharing and caring on this group
First I want to say that my SVT was a cardiac birth defect with an accessory pathway, not AF, etc.
I am two weeks post right now and can honestly say I felt great the day after. Maybe too confident so I have slowed down to allow my heart to heal.
It was/is wonderful to have energy for the first time in my life. What always had been 'norm' for me and dealt with, is no more ! I was taken off the Metoprolol before the ablation and actually had an episode going into the operating room. They had to give me a shot to proceed. And I am now on no meds and feeling well. No exhaustion for the first time in my life. Dr said even when I was not feeling the SVT, it was happening all the time. He felt he got 99% of it and the remainder was on the other side of my heart and his words were - we'll let the dust settle and see what happens.
Pre ablation, I knew I was looking at a steady increase of dose for the rest of my life with a heart racing at 240 bpm.
