Hi there and good morning! :)
Are you talking about groups outside of this site? Like different NA groups, etc? I am actually looking into finding a subs group near me. I am going to the suboxone site and see if there are 'circles' near my home.
As far as choosing, I would imagine the best approach would be to go online and search for groups that address the topics you are interested in. Then go and visit them. It may take a few times to determine which is a better fit. And, if time is not an issue, you may wish to join more than one!
We don't always wear the same hat, but it goes on the same head. There may be more than one group that will suit your needs. :)
Hope this helps!
Hi crazed 50. Well there are so many to choose from. I have joined a lot of them, but the problem is you will get emails from all these groups so watch your email settings. That's very important or you may get overwhelmed with questions & answers. You can pretty well choose whatever ones you are interested in, & then set the email settings accordingly. You may be surprised how something as simple as your experience with taking a certain medication could help someone else out with your answer. I tried at first to join some that I knew I had experience with & then added ones as I became more famililar with different people & their conditions also. This is a wonderful site, & I'm sure your contirbutions will be considered helpful to a lot of people. So feel free to choose whatever you have experience in or are just interested in. Good luck & have fun!
I've got an example for you, I joined the support group Opiate Withdrawal, so I get all these Q's about methadone, and I don't know squat about methadone nor methadone detox!
Just join whatever groups you feel like you are most knowledgable about, or what you feel comfortable with OR what you want to learn about, I've joined several just to read some of the Q's so I can learn about the subject.
Just an idea.
And yes you've helped many people so far, hope we see a lot more of you!!

I've been given a script for Efudex, I'm wondering why there is a support group for it! That sounds?
