It is in both left elbow and knee. I have dvt;s and am unsure if there is any relationship. Pain is very significant. Have been on Uloric for 6 months. What options are left? I am spending too much time in bed. It seems to also cause flairs in all areas of the spine.

I had a problem with gout in my feet and knee caused by somewhat high uric acid. After a month on Uloric (40mg) my uric acid dropped to mid normal. Now 8 months later I continue to have no gout problems and am considering diet only to control acid levels.

I have swollen lips, red blistery rash and itch all over. I called my doctor and all he did was switch me to allopurinol. I've been off of it for four days and it seems to be getting worse. No breathing problems. Suggestions? When can I expect it to subside?
