I cannot use Cipro due to muscle/tendon issues so my Dr switched me to APO-Sulfatrim DS. Is this strong enough for kidney infections? I'm hearing both yes and no and would like clarification. I've been having severe flank pain for several months now.

Our dog came home, looking like she had been shot. I don't think it was a bullet, & it just grazed the top of her back. Would it be okay to give her a small dose of sulfatrim ds 800/160mg to fight the infection?

... pancreatic attack? How easily can sulfatrim ds 800 cause pancreatitis in someone who has already had pancreatitis? What is the percentage that I could get pancreatitis again from taking this drug for a bladder infection?

... shallow ulcer on my ankle and in the past have had keflex for ulcers, but this is the 1st time I've been rx'ed sulfatrim and would like to know if others have used it for ulcers, whether it worked better or worse than other drugs etc. Thanks, Ade

My dad was released from a 3 days hospital stay on Sunday. He was diagnosed with Acute pancreatis. He's been prescribed Apo-Sulfatrim Ds 800mg. However within 1 day he ended up back in hospital complaining of severe stomach pains. He spent the night again in hospital and was release again ...
