I still figuring out when the best times in the morning and afternoon are to take them, and how to prevent/ deal with a crash at night and/or prevent insomnia issues... but I expect those are typical growing pains when starting these kinds of meds.
My real question is this:

I'm so confused. Why is it that all of a sudden every young boy has ADHD? Before it was ADD but now they are considered hyperactive as well. Since when does the government and society have the right to say who is normal and who is not? I thought boys were supposed to be more hyper than girls. That's in their nature. Now it's a brain malfunction because teachers want them to sit still and not call out if they know the answer. Smh I've met with every social worker in the...

I've been prescribed 100 mg methylphenidate per day in 3 doses for the last 15 years. My doctor is switching me to Adderal XR 20 mg instead. I tried this change yesterday and felt like I had not taken anything. I don't think I took enough Adderal XR. I'd like to know what would be the equivalent dose of Adderal XR after switching from 100 mg/day of immediate release methylphenidate. Thank you!

I've been on Ritalin- just wondering what others' experiences have been on both Ritalin and Concerta.
Ritalin helps me focus but it makes me a complete jerk. I get so angry and I'm anxious. But I think it's the only medication that has helped me. Adderall makes me tired. Vyvanse gets me going for 3 hours and then makes me tired.
Does Concerta have really bad side effects?
