Prograf vs generic tacrolimus?

After 4 successful years on prograf due to a kidney transplant, am I doomed if I have to make the switch to generic tacrolimus? I have been told by my transplant team the generic has not been sufficiently tested, and do not switch! What's the deal??

patient had a renal transplant 7 months back, aortic dissection surgery 3 weeks back, subdural hematoma of 8 mm a week back, patient was on aspirin and warfarin. dilemma is whether to give 75mg aspirin now as recommended by cardiac surgeon but contraindicated by neuro surgeon?
