In self diagnosing, I believe I do have a subtle but significant issue with OCD.
I had my first "panic attack" about 20 years ago, hellish paranoia in the middle of the night that...

I take Prozac for OCD and depression but it seems to have lost its effectiveness. I tried switching to Lexapro but had a really bad experience and had to go back on Prozac. My doctor suggests Zoloft as an alternative, but after the experience with Lexapro I am very wary about making the switch. It would be good to hear from anyone who has experience of switching from Prozac to Zoloft. Thanks!

I've taken many types of antidepressants over the past 17 years, but never made it out ofdepression for very long at a time. My new psychiatrist prescribed me Sodium Valproate (1000mg) about 8 days ago to take alongside the Fluoxetine (60mg) I've been on for a while (it helps with my OCD symptoms). I'm worried this will end up making me more depressed since it apparently works better for mania? Does anyone here take Sodium Valproate for depression/anxiety?
