Can I safely take older (3 years old) metoprolol tablets?

I am about to run out of metoprolol and my prescription won't be delivered for another week or ten days. I have a batch of older tablets. Would it be safe to take them for a few days? Is this medicine like some others which retain potency for longer than the label says?

I am taking metoprolol 50mg once a day in the morning at 7:30 am. Want to start taking it at night?

... at 9:00pm because of being to tired during the day. How do I make the transition from day to night? Dr. said to skip the day and take it at night because it will still be in my system. Is this safe?

Is itching a withdrawal symptom?

I am currently taking wellbutrin, lexapro, metoprolol, furosemide, pregabalin, and lumakras. Recently I had a mental issue and refused to take everything except the lumakras. Does anyone know if any of these can cause severe itching as a withdrawal symptom? TIA

I've been taking 50 mg of metoprolol for almost 2 years. I have gained about 35 lbs.
