I ate a banana and immediately took Atacand 8 mg and my heart started racing, my blood pressure went up high and I ended up in the emergency room. I had also been taking vitamins which contained potassium. Was the potassium that caused a racing heart?

How to treat A fib and high blood pressure together?

Being given Tiazac with Loasartan htcz plus Atenolol but combination lowered heart rate to the 40's. Taken off Atenolol, heart rate rises to 70's and BP stays 150/75's. No A fib treatment now although Tiazac helps some. What is used for this today?
