I have a severe allergy to Bactrim (think it's a sulfide). It results in unbearable muscle/joint pain makes it extremely difficult to move. Also welts and rashes appear. I have just been prescribed gentamicin sulfate, ophthalmic. Is that safe to take?

I have a severe allergy to Bactrim. It causes horrific muscle and joint pain to the extent that it is extremely difficult to move. It also causes huge red welts all over my body. Is the Bactrim related to the gentamicin? Are the eye drops safe to use?

This is in a dialysis center. I would never give both together obviously if that have never had them before. However a new teammate told me that they can be mixed together in the same bag and administered. Any information is greatly appreciated.

doctor said to put one drop in eyes and i notice it was getting worse. i stopped puting the eye drops. i took her back to the doctor and now her eye has to be removed. when i told the doctor about it she said it was probably the wrong eye drops.
