Why did I not get addicted?

Greetings,
I was on 2 100 mcg 3 day patches for 8 years along with Lortab 10 pills 3 times a day. In 2009 I began to be treated for severe combat-related PTSD and I had to stop all pain medication. I stopped taking the drugs but did not suffer any withdrawal symptoms. Is it my personal biology? If so, is there a way to use my info to treat addictions?

Thank you in advance,

I'm 23 years old and I want to stop but can't, I don't know how to deal with the depression or the not being "normal". This is my 2 weeks with out any pills because I'm broke, i get paid on the 1st of April and I know I'll get more... I don't have family so it's makes it that much more harder to do this alone. I've quit multiple times for couple weeks or couple months but the depression always drives me back to them,...

I am a recovered alcoholic. I have been sober for 35 years. No drugs either. My new shrink wants me to try this drug to help stop my sugar addiction (yes, it's real). Sugar was my first drug and alcohol was just a faster delivery system to the brain.
I live on sugar and am overweight with high blood pressure so the shrink thinks i should try this. First he had me on topamax and i reacted badly to that and now he wants me to try this. I am reading about the drug and it seems like overkill....

About a year and a half ago I had to have a hysterectomy. They prescribed me percocet and I liked them. A lot. I suffer from severe depression and anxiety, and they just made me feel so good. I became super mom, super wife, and was just happy. I kept talking them, finding ways to get prescribed more and more. I now take up to 50mg a day and it's out of control. I quit in June with the support of my husband, but it was so unbearable I ended up on a 72 hour watch. I'm on trazadone 200...

I am on 12m fentanyl patches and six perc 5s for breakthrough pain. I am getting a shoulder replacement in 3 months. The meds make me able to have a normal life and not have to lay in bed 24/7. I am concerned about physical dependenCE and have been changing the patch every 6 days instead of 3 to try and do whatever I can to minimize withdrawal when I have to get off these. Do you think this is a good idea?

I recently went through an alcohol detox program and was given a prescription for Hydroxyzine Pam., 25 mg, up to 4X a day. Have only been on it for a few days now and so far, have found it to be helpful for the initial anxiety associated with withdrawal. Am only taking it in the evenings and before bed.
