I have 50mg but my doctor said I can take up to 100mg initially. Can I take two 50mg tablets at the onset or do I need a new script for 100mg tabs if I want to take a higher initial dose?
You are able to take two of the 50's. He smaller dose of pills is so you have the option of dose. Pills in the "triptan" family must be carefully administered or else migraines/cluster headaches may become a side effect of the medication. It's a good thing you're checking about dosing and also make sure you know your daily and weekly limits - I can take 3 pills in a day but only 5 in a week so knowing helps me ration best.
Hope your headache goes away soon - best wishes!
