hi im 22 years of age, i suffer from severe anxiety and can not deal with it any more. I see a physiologist that prescribes me valium i take 2 a day 5mg they often do help me but now im getting to the point were a valium wont even help me, im on anti depressants to try to reduce my anxiety and compulsive disorder . I had a panic attack today and locked myself in the toilets at work and cried i had to go home because i couldn't be around anyone. i cant deal with this any more i just want to get better
I feel for ya and can only recommend you make an appointment with your doctor to let him know what is happening. You may need to change or up the doseage of the Valium and/or the antidepressant.
If you are having problems at work, best to get this addressed by the professional asap rather than lose the job. I'm praying for ya, and wishing you the best,
So sorry to hear what you're going through and also what you went through in work today,it's a horrible situation to be in,i also suffer from severe anxiety and can relate to what you're saying, but you do need to go back to your pysc and he/she will review your meds, your best doing it as soon as because you're a young woman to be suffering from this,i'm 24 myself and have been through the mill and back with anxiety and to name but a few,but you must see your doc,its not fair to be in the place you're at right now,i know it does'nt seem like it,but it will get better, you just need to find the right treatment. Also think about CBT,it helps you learn how to control anxiety and thoughts surrounding what makes you anxious and how to cope with panic,it works for some,i'm attending at the moment,i'll try anything that will help ease the suffering anxiety causes.
Anyway see your pysc first then consider the therapy. We're here anytime to talk,do not feel alone, there are so many people out there like you and me.
Take care and let us know how it goes, best of luck
Hey Hun ;-)
I know exactly where u are at, my anxiety is so bad that a simple trip to the local deli is scary, my hands shake and I even develop a stutter when bad! Valium is pretty tame but works in taking the edge off. Tip: placing vals under your tounge to desolve is immediate relief. I'm starting psych sessions next month- if it's helpful I will let u know, keep smiling & know you are not alone in feeling this way- my panic attacks include:: hands shaking, unable to maintain eye contact & when it's really bad I develop a stutter!! The psych is my last hope as ant-ds make me worse . Best of luck :-)
