I'm suffer from being hairy & growing of hair under the skin &loss of hair of my head i'm female,in 21.i'm afraid of using aldactone what's the most proper and the dose?
Dear Hadeer, those symptoms of hairiness on the chin, losing scalp hair, being hairy on other parts of the body, may indicate a hormone, thyroid or endocrine problem. Have you had any of those things checked? I think the medication you mentioned, is a steroid. You may need thyroid medication, or some type of hormone therapy, that will treat why this is happening. Aldactone can block aldosterone in your body, aldosterone is a hormone. Its been used for years for hair growth like you describe. I don't know how successful it is. Its major use was as a potassium sparing water pill. Its not a horrible drug and its worth a try if you need it.
