The ear pain is from pressure building up behind the ear drum from your sinus infection. Using a decongestant, like pseudoephedrine (check with your Dr if you have high blood pressure or are on other medications) may help relieve that pressure. It can also help to pinch your nose then try to blow through your nose while pinched. This will equalize the pressure. Just do it gently because it can be a little painful to do this. It will make your ear "pop" and therefore equalize the pressure in the middle ear.
