Everywhere I look I get conflicting answers. The pharmacist said Sudafed is ok to take when I'm pregnant but my doctor only had tylonal and Benadryl on the OK list. The pharmacist said maybe it's because I'm in my first trimester. But then I look online and see it's a category C. But then I see others still say it's safe. I'm so confused!!
"FDA pregnancy category C. It is not known whether Sudafed will harm an unborn baby. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant while using Sudafed."
This indicates that long term studies have not been done, were inconclusive or that little evidence exists: https://www.drugs.com/sudafed.html
Unless your sinusitis is a real issue, I'd probably cut out everything except your pre-natal vitamins. Folate/folic acid is important not to miss as it helps a growing nervous system and insures against a specific problem.
