I have been prescribed sulcralfate x2 daily for esophagitis (pill induced, from doxyclycline), but 2 days in and am still in extreme pain - does anyone have experience with this, or know when this medication may begin to take effect? I feel as though my quality of life will never recover... : (
Sucralfate - for esophagitis, still in pain, when will it start to work?

The literature about Sucralfate states the following:
While healing with Sucralfate may occur during the first week or two, treatment should be continued for 4 to 8 weeks unless healing has been demonstrated by x-ray or endoscopic examination.
So give it some time and try not to take too much antacid due to the bulid up of aluminum in the body.
