... it? Cold turkey? Just stop? Will I have withdrawal symptoms? Is it bad for the baby??
Tell your subs dr tomorrow that you are expecting, you should be switched to subutex which your dr may or may not know. Then work with your subs dr and your OB-GYN in deciding if/how/when you should taper off subutex. Under other circumstances, you should taper off, but it is critical that you work with both drs to decide what is best. Subutex does NOT have naloxone in it, the less meds getting to the baby, the better. I wish you had added how high a dose you are on, can you hit comment and list that please. Thanks and congrats, pattishan61
First of all you MUST speak to your Doctor. In speaking with an Ob- GYN friend of mine he told me many patients of his have in fact given bitrh on low dose on Subutex. I just recently went on 2mgs of suboxone after years of OXYcontin use. 2mgs is exremely low but I feel much better then I did when i was going cold turkey. I was taking 120 to 200 mgs of the Oxycotin per day for years. I do not know the dose you are on but I can tell you a low dose is working for me.
Good luck to you and I pray it all works out, It will!
