... Any solutions?
I am using suboxone for pain releif and I have had some pretty serious constipation problems. My dose of suboxone is 18 mg a day, and I've never have problems with constipation before in my life, so here is what I finally ended up doing to get myself on some sort of a regular pattern.
Each night when I go to bed, I take fish oil, 1000 mg. This dose has not changed for me at all. I started out taking a stoll softener, just any basic over the counter stool softener will do, but i chose docusate sodium, 100 mg each, and I started out taking 4 per night, and once I found myself finally able to move my bowels without an enema, I went down to 2 per night, continuing the fish oil. This regime has worked quite well for me without working TOO well if you know what I mean!! Both pills are gel cap types of pills so they are easy to swallow, but it does take about 4-5 days for it to get into your system enough to start allowing your body to begin to regulate itself.
Good Luck, I hope I have helped some!
