I want to test my son, he says he is taking suboxon and that it will show up as an opiod on a drug test.
It will NOT show up as an opiate, you will have to go online to find a special drug kit that will test for bupenorphine, that is THE only thing it will show up as. If he shows positive for opiates, he is not taking his subs, subs block opiates. You could test to see if he tests positive for opiates and if he does, he is LIKELY NOT taking his subs. Suboxone and subutex were specifically designed NOT to test positive as opiates so drs could see if patients had relapsed.
