i started suboxone treatment exactly a week ago. one week prior to my treatment i took a valium to help me sleep one night because i was having trouble sleeping... anyways today when i took my urine test i tested positive for benzos..it has been 2 weeks at the very minimum since i had a valium... why is this still showing up in my urine... the doctor seemed suspicious like i was lying to him or somthing but i honestly havent had anything other than my suboxone since i started treatment last monday he said a week from today when i have my next appointment it should be out of my system... but what if it isnt? what am i suposed to do... all the info ive found on the interent said that the valium should only stay in my system for 3-4 days.
The general rule is 3 to 4 days but benzos can test positive for several weeks after use. They can embed in the fat cells and this maybe one reason you still test positive. If your metabolism is slow, it will show positive for a while although I hope you are clear when you test this time. If you are over weight, that is one sign your metabolism maybe slow as well as the fact that you were on pain meds for at least long enough to produce withdrawal.
Hello peeps, well jus like u said that is really wierd tht it was stil in ur system... CRAZY... its only suppose to be ther for no more than 4 days... the only possible thing i can think of is tht it wasnt a valium... but ya never know... if its ur script then its forsure but if not then maybe ur doctor was jus questioning u to see wat u wud say... i had a doc in San Antonio tht was nuttyier then a fruit cake n he wud lie jus to see wat i wud say or my reaction... Crazy right... well good luck with that... cya
