Hi I started taking celexa 10mg. about a week ago, It has made me feel so sleepy, my mouth is very dry, and i'm dizzy. I'm stopping it. I am going to start Zoloft 12.5 mg. for a week then i'm gradually going to up the dose until I get to 50 mg. My question is, how soon after stopping celexa can I start Zoloft? Do I have to wait a certian time frame? I am also taking ativan .5 mg. 3 times a day.

It would be best to talk to your doctor about what they would like you to do. Theoretically since you were on a small initial dose of Celexa and are weaning off that, you could start the low dose of Zoloft just as soon as you finish taking Celexa.
Is your doc involved in this switch? What did he tell you to do? There is no reason that you can't just start the zoloft. You were only on the celexa for a week.
Hello cowboys21. In addition to the previous responses, please note to add that there are possible interactions between a Benzodiazepine and a SSRI. Regards pledge

Zoloft can cause false positive test for benzo. Can Celexa do the same d/t it being an SSRI as well?
